I too love to read your words. I usually open them as I'm taking 5 minutes and think' oh, lovely ,I ll read more when I have another 5 minutes' but inevitably I can't stop reading! This was as light as a dandelion clock. Love the idea of time smudging away. And thankyou for the link to Summer Camp, how good is that!
Thank you so much Jude, I love that! Summer’s Essay Camp is so good! This originated from the ‘five things’ exercise - I wrote about what I thought were five disparate things, but in fact, when I worked on it some more, they turned out to be connected. 💫
A lovely read, Laura - I always look forward to your letters. I love dandelions too. Your words put me right back to the garden as a kid, blowing the seeds off into the wind. 💛
I was transported with these words. Thank you. The dandelions are out in force at the moment and they herald summer with their golden glow. Roll on sunshine. ☀️
It elicits imagery in my mind of that crossing point I speak about on my own ‘Stack -- mothering/caregiving and that place I go to be just me. This piece specifically evoked that with dandelions and the dancing and the son. All yours.
This was beautiful. And it reminds me of the way I write -- and now sounds like I’m complimenting myself. But I loved the imagery. My kids are around the same age. Placing kids in writing suddenly changes how it hits.
Thank you so much. Funnily enough I have hardly written about my kids in the past, it was only recently, when I wrote a piece about being a mother-writer (which seemed to resonate), that I started to feel perhaps I could include some moments of my life with them.
The crossing-point. I love that.
I adore reading your words Laura, you take me to another place. And a golden dandelion field is a wonderful place to be!
Thank you so much, Marie! Yes, I agree — dandelion fields forever…

Beautiful Laura, as if floating into your memories. Thank you for the introduction to Summer’s Camp Essay’s. I am on it!
Oh what a lovely way to put it. Thank you Jeanne. 💛
I love the imagery you have cultivated in this piece Laura....I feel as if I am right there in the midst of the snapshot moments & dandelion paddocks!
Thank you so much Tiffany, I really appreciate your kind words. 💛

Oh yes, that’s a magic that never gets old. 💫 and thank you!

Thank you so much Alicia. They seem to be everywhere at the moment, once you start thinking about them!
