This is like reading a dream! 😍 What I wouldn’t give to be able to spend time in an old library like that, and sleep in a sweet little “monastic” bedroom inside a library! (Happy sigh)…

My younger sisters grew up with a kids show called Arthur, which included the immortal song “having fun isn’t hard, when you’ve got a library card!” I receive this from one or other of them as a gif on a semi-regular basis on the family chat when my library loving ways come out stronger than usual…

Oh how gentle and beautiful. Giving your self that extended time to think is so vital. I picture your thoughts going up to the ceiling and floating and landing. I was almost nervous as I read, for I thought your thoughts might freeze, but I know that is my fear I place on your shoulders. And how interesting to read of words coming to find us. I ve had some arrive these past months that I’d didn’t know were looking for me.

Laura, Your story brought back many great memories and feelings I had not thought about or felt for a long time. Back in 1973 when I was 13, my family moved from rural Pennsylvania to Southern California. Not having family here or any friends at first, I spent many many days at the local public library. There was a certain smell, light and atmosphere that still makes me smile. When I've told my kids and wife about this, they asked or commented about my being lonely. Laughing, I always tell them about the thousands of people I met and thousands of places I traveled to. Loved that time spent there and treasure the time I spent in that library. Haven't been there for probably close to 45 or 50 years. Now that the memory is stirred up, making plans to visit very soon. Thank You!!!

What a wonderful memory! Libraries are the opposite of lonely places. 📚📚📚 Thank you so much for reading.
