This is such a wonderfully evocative piece Laura - it resonated deeply with me as I only recently returned from Thailand where I began my journey as a writer. I also felt so inspired to write there, as all my senses were constantly stimulated by the rich culture and nature around every corner. I effortlessly felt an eagerness to capture the world on paper. This was a beautiful read, thank you!

beautifully expressed and the theme made me remember how I used letters home when I took my first solo travel to record the moments. I asked my mother to save the letters and years later I have them.

So precious! I have a box of letters from this time, too. ✉️

Beautiful essay. I am swept away by your writing style. I wrote about this topic in my notebook today. Thank you for being the anchor text and Inspiration. I wasn't sure there was a moment for me becoming a writer but after a few starts I found the moment. It was writing in a notebook in my university library. My pen ink flowing on the page in a beam of sunlight. I can remember the texture of the page and that feeling. I wouldn't have arrived there without you holding my hand with your words. Thank you for the gift.

Thank you so much, Rebecca! (I still think purple is the best possible colour for a bicycle, I have one in my shed 🥰)

Hi Laura

Your writing is likened to bIrds’ singing in the companionship of willows’ smile - there are so many in it, variety of pattern and musical sound, every line of it is a poetry
